Amy Hanson began her dance training at the age of three, studying studio dance before transitioning into ballroom at eighteen. She competed in the American Rhythm division from 2009–2011 and is currently preparing to compete in the American Smooth division.
An accomplished and highly respected instructor, Amy has earned multiple Top Teacher awards at competitions across the country. Her most recent honors include Overall Top Teacher of the Dancers Cup Tour, as well as Top Female Teacher in both the World Pro/Am Dancesport Series and the Dance Vision Circuit.
With over 17 years of teaching experience, Amy is passionate about helping dancers of all levels reach their goals. She has instructed extensively in the Minneapolis area and Kansas City and currently teaches social and competitive students throughout the Twin Cities. Amy’s love for teaching, combined with her competitive background, allows her to create an encouraging, goal-driven environment for every student she works with.
